The challenge
As one of Indonesia’s most established luxury shopping destinations, Plaza Senayan's milestone three-decade (30th Pearl Jubilee Anniversary) required an activation reflecting timeless elegance, architectural grandeur, and gratitude to loyal patrons:
- Haute-Horlogerie & Luxury Retail Standards: Home to world-renowned luxury brands, every reveal, radius joint, and lighting trim had to satisfy discerning luxury aesthetics.
- Three Decades of Living Heritage: The activation needed to narrate Plaza Senayan's evolution from the early 1990s to the modern era in an emotionally resonant, interactive format.
- Zero Disruption to Retail Corridors: Ground-floor walkways handle substantial high-end shopping footfall; all structures had to accommodate strollers and wheelchairs while maintaining unobstructed storefront vistas.
Our approach
- Monumental Numeral 30 & Giant Pearls:
At the primary concourse intersection, Livindo erected a 5-meter sculptural numeral 30. Adorned with monumental multi-layered pearl spheres finished in a proprietary champagne pearl duco, the structure shimmered with gentle opalescent radiance.
- Heritage Retrospective Walkway:
An arched golden walkway displayed archival photographs and memorabilia from Plaza Senayan's storied history. Integrated museum-grade spotlighting (CRI > 95) illuminated each archival frame without glare.
- Gala Celebration Stage with Gilded Disc Backdrop:
The main celebration stage featured rich honey-oak finished timber decking bordered by mirror-polished gold stainless steel trims. The backdrop was embellished with hundreds of kinetic reflective gold discs dancing in dynamic stage lights.
- White-Glove Nocturnal Assembly:
Livindo's certified installation specialists assembled the installation over 3 overnight shifts with thick protective floor coverings guarding the mall's imported marble pavers against abrasions.
Outcome
The Plaza Senayan 30th Pearl Jubilee installation received profound commendations from the mall's executive board, luxury brand tenants, and multi-generational shoppers. The ceremonial gala unfolded flawlessly, reaffirming Livindo as the preferred contracting partner for Indonesia’s most prestigious commercial destinations.
