The challenge
Tribeca Park at Central Park West Jakarta stands as Indonesia's flagship outdoor Christmas holiday venue. For the 2025 holiday season, mall management commissioned Livindo to design, engineer, and fabricate the monumental holiday tree and its surrounding experiential landscape:
- Towering Height & Monsoon Winds: Standing unprotected in an open park without perimeter shelter, the tree had to withstand intense tropical thunderstorms and unpredictable wind shears.
- Uncompromised Public Safety: With tens of thousands of visitors exploring the park grounds daily, the installation required an earthquake- and wind-resistant base, concealed waterproof wiring (IP67), and zero pinch-point hazards.
- Coordinated Dynamic Lighting & Musical Choreography: Thousands of addressable LED nodes and illuminated ornaments had to sync seamlessly with scheduled evening musical stage shows.
Our approach
- Modular Space-Truss Structure & Hidden Ballast:
Livindo engineers designed a four-tier modular structural steel space truss with a low center of gravity. Concealed multi-ton precast concrete ballast blocks were integrated into the elevated stage deck, eliminating any need for ground penetrations while guaranteeing rigid stability.
- Flame-Retardant & UV-Stabilized Foliage:
The exterior was clad in custom-formulated synthetic evergreen boughs manufactured with certified fire-retardant and UV-resistant polymers, preserving deep forest-green vibrancy throughout weeks of direct midday sun exposure.
- Oversized 3D Mirrored Baubles & Star Topper:
Over 1,500 mirrored spheres measuring up to 1.2 meters in diameter were manufactured in chrome silver, gold, and ruby red finishes. A monumental multi-faceted illuminated star topper was CNC laser-cut and mounted with automated hoist attachments.
- Walk-Through Arched Light Tunnel:
Flanking the base of the tree, Livindo engineered a vaulted steel tunnel wrapped in tens of thousands of warm-white micro-LED fairy lights, inviting visitors into an enchanting illuminated pathway that became an viral social photo destination.
Outcome
The Central Park Christmas 2025 centerpiece stood as the undisputed holiday highlight of Greater Jakarta. Attracting thousands of spectators every evening and earning prominent national television coverage, the installation demonstrated Livindo's turnkey capabilities in monumental outdoor retail spectacle.
